Stan N. Tolkachjov, MD: Risk Stratification in High-Risk SCC With i40-GEP

Dr. Tolkachjov highlights his paper published in Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology titled, “Validation of the integrated 40-gene expression profile (i40-GEP), which provides prognostic and adjuvant radiation benefit for high-risk cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.” He explains the impact of the i40-GEP tool paired with clinicopathologic factors to refine risk stratification for patients with high-risk cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). In addition, Tolkachjov said the results of the study showed that the i40-GEP plus clinicopathologic factors stratifies metastatic and recurrence risk in patients with high-risk SCC, which can improve clinical decision-making.

Topics Covered:

  • Impact of the i40-GEP on patients with high-risk cutaneous SCC
  • Pairing the i40-GEP tool with clinicopathologic factors to stratify metastatic and local recurrence risk in SCC
  • Clinical decision-making for patients with high-risk SCC
